Recently in the media there has been a sudden explosion of discussion about Judaism and antisemitism in particular. I realize that my knowledge of Judaism is rather limited. It what was most assuredly divine timing I got a chance to speak to Rabbi Rami Shapiro. He is genuinely amazing. He is a genius and I could talk to him for days. He recently wrote a book that makes the attempt to move spirituality and judaism in particular beyond the Tribalistic separation that has occured in the Western World. Here we discuss the fact that Judaism is truly about being, the universal truths of being god. Here we get a better understanding of anti semitism and what it truly means.
Rabbi Rami Shapiro an ordained Reform rabbi with a PhD in religious studies; a contributing editor for Spirituality & Health Magazine; a podcast host (Spirituality & Health Podcast with Rabbi Rami); an award-winning author of over three dozen books on religion and spirituality; and the co-founder of the One River Foundation (www.oneriverfoundation,org). Shapiro’s spiritual knowledge goes far beyond just Judaism, he has taken Bodhisattva vows in Zen Buddhism, become a 33° Mason in the Scottish Rite, been initiated into the Ramakrishna Order of Vedanta Hinduism, joined the Theosophical Society, published three dozen books, has had his poems included in prayer books and hymnals around the English speaking world.
